In March of 2006, Scott came up with a new photographic technique to capture apparitions in daylight.  The first successful use was in Gettysburg.  The technique uses infrared photography, but with a digital camera instead of a 35mm.
The idea arose from the fact that not all sites are accessible at night, so we needed a way to overcome these restrictions.  Some places can take the night away from us, but not the day.  If you look at the photo from Devil's Den, you can see two apparitions, one on the rocks and another below.  This technique has also captured an apparition on the platform of the Altoona Railroaders Memorial Museum and this photo taken by Craig Rupp at Little Round Top.  The director of the museum verified that no one was on the platform at the time the photo was taken.  Photos have also been captured in Bedford, PA and Fredericksburg, VA.
The first person outside of the GRF to evaluate this new technique was Mark Nesbitt.  Mark is an author, historian and paranormal investigator.  Mark is the leading expert on the history and hauntings in Gettysburg.  Scott showed Mark the technique and the photographs.  Mark was kind enough to give us his opinion and permission to use it.

Scott Crownover , in one of the more monumental discoveries in paranormal field reseach, has developed a method of taking photographs of spirit energies in broad daylight, literally bringing ghost hunting out of the darkness and into the light. No longer are ghost investigators limited to time restraints placed by historical sites; paranormal photographs can be taken in broad daylight and results can be seen practically instantaneously. The technique more than doubles the amount of time an investigator can work a site, increasing the odds of capturing the elusive full apparition, and proving, as we all know, that ghosts don’t just come out at night.

Scott has also come up with another new innovation in paranormal investigating.  He has come up with a system that allows you tosee and hear EVP as it occurs.  The first confirmation that this system works was at the Jean Bonnet Tavern in Bedford.  The system allows you to see the spectrogram and hear the live feed at the same time.
